Specialist Neuro Occupational Therapist

Lisa has previously worked as a nursery nurse and with the homeless. She has a Bsc in psychology and post graduate diploma and Msc in Occupational Therapy, which led her to specialise in behavioural neurology. Additionally, within the many areas of OT, she has experience in environmental assessments and equipment, manual handling, problem solving complex situations, fatigue management, cognitive rehabilitation, work rehabilitation, sleep hygiene and relaxation, structuring and planning focusing on a balance of activities for optimum health, stress related illnesses and mental health, life coaching and confidence building. Assessment and treatment plans embrace each individual in a holistic way to empower, promote independence to maximise peoples potential by using meaningful activity.


As well as carrying out private work her experience within the services has covered many areas including acute neurology, neuro rehab wards, intermediate care, extra capacity beds and community teams within the NHS and social services. Incorporated within these roles she gained experience in service development, setting up group programmes, supervision and training for staff members.

Other interests and qualifications relating to health include, Yoga and Meditation, Ayurvedic massage and creative activities to improve mental, physical, spiritual and emotional wellbeing.
