I cannot say enough how Leane has helped me. My Parkinson‘s disease and bad hip make my muscles tight and my walking difficult. I am walking much better and trying to do my exercises every day. I have a blood transfusion once a month and we do a relaxation session in the evening before and massage. This is so good for my stiff neck muscles and I really enjoy this. It helps me to prepare for the transfusion and to relax. Leane is wonderful and very flexible with her Schedule to make it suit me. I would highly recommend Leane and Rehab4U

Leane has visited my 93 year old mother since coming home from hospital with pneumonia 3 years ago. Since then Leane has helped my mother back on her feet with gentle excersises and a lot of patience. It is thanks to Leane that we are still able to take my mother for a daily drive in the car and stop for a coffee and cake which she loves.

My Uncle suffered a massive stroke which resulted in a long hospital stay and then a further stay at a specialist stroke unit. This was eventually followed up with some physiotherapy. At the end of his allotted treatment I asked advice on hiring a private physiotherapist and Julia was recommended. At the time I was advised that my Uncle had reached his full potential regarding his recovery and would not improve further. I made the decision to go ahead knowing that it would be beneficial to his mental health if not improving his physical health. I'm so glad I did. Julia is worth every penny and more. She's practically a miracle worker. Not only was she able to get my Uncle walking again but he eventually managed to get in and out of my car with some assistance. Some setbacks have occurred, with illness and a trial home visit which resulted in his becoming non weight bearing again. Back in nursing care we have resumed therapy and gym attendance and once more he is improving. I'm really positive that I'll be able to get him into my car once again. This keeps him motivated, helps keep his body working but mostly aids his mental health and emotional well-being as he has a goal and something to work towards. Without Julia's input I don't believe he would still be with us. Can't thank you enough Julia.

My sister had a stroke in April 2018, when she eventually got home I contacted Julia at Rehab4U. It was the best thing I ever did. Julia has been amazing in so many ways! It was obvious from the outset that Julia had extensive experience and expertise. She was immediately able to judge what Janet’s needs were and personalised a program to promote the best recovery possible. These are some of Julia’s qualities as a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist: Affordable Reliable Focussed Caring Modern Patient centred. Julia has definitely made a big difference to Janet’s recovery. Janet is always keen to engage with Julia’s methods and she has really boosted Janet’s morale. We have certainly seen significant improvements with Julia’s support.

We have had and continue to have a very responsive service from Rehab4U;they are professional, caring and they provide an effective, safe service in relation to assessments and ongoing rehabilitation programmes for our residents as needed. There is always good collaboration with the care teams, including written documentation, so that the staff are updated and aware of any changes in the rehabilitation needs for a resident ensuring that these can continue to be supported. The team are friendly and very approachable and overall we have had really positive outcomes for a significant number of residents who have received support from Rehab4U. Real progress is being achieved and I would recommend the services of Rehab4u to anyone with similar needs.

We have used Rehab4U since early 2017 following my wife’s stroke in January 2017. The ongoing physiotherapy, speech therapy and counselling services provided by Rehab4U have never been less than excellent. My wife’s continuing recovery from stroke is down to the expertise, knowledge & professionalism of the Rehab4u therapists. I can’t recommend Rehab4U too highly.

Julia proved a lifeline for me following my unusual brain stem stroke which took a long time to diagnose and I was left with no treatment. She responded promptly to my enquiry and saw me at a very dark time just prior to Christmas. Doing the prescribed exercises and our regular meetings kept me going. She very professionally acknowledged when we reached the end of her expertise and identified highly specialised help in London to which my GP was able to refer me although he had previously not been aware of its existence. She continues to liaise with the specialist neuro physio so that I have local support in the long road back.

I was so fortunate that Marika visited my home firstly on a weekly basis and developed a programme of exercises tailor made for my needs which has proved of great benefit to me. I have been able to go on a cruise on my own which I consider a great achievement. Through Marika’s encouragement and sympathetic approach I feel that I have achieved a great deal. She is patient, compassionate and explains in great detail what is entailed in the exercises which I continue on a daily basis.

I have been living with a rare neurological condition for some time and have been managing it independently .Following a fall I recognised that I needed some additional help and was recommended Julia as a physiotherapist. Initially she was able to see me at home and treat my injury from falling but has since progressed me through different stage of rehabilitation to enable me to return to work. I have found the service provided by Rehab4U of excellent quality to help my recovery. I highly recommend the services provided by the Rehab4U.

I found Rehab4U in November 2015. Having had Poliomyletis earlier in my life I now have mobility problems with the advent of Post Polio Syndrome. When I had pneumonia which resulted in a hospital in patient treatment. Inevitably the illness affected my mobility and I needed advice and therapy. Help came through Marika, a very pleasant and empathetic physiotherapist. Her professional expertise and knowledge were exceptional. She was caring and supportive in ensuring her exercise regime was understood and carried out.

I had a severe stroke in September 2012. About 10 weeks into my rehabilitation I discovered Rehab4U. Due to costs and available staff, the NHS can only give limited physiotherapy after leaving Hospital. It was essential that I continued my Physiotherapy and Exercises under professional guidance. Julia Buck provided the very important Physiotherapy and exercise programme and I progressed with some speed. Things I couldn’t do after my stroke started to come back. About 6 weeks into my Physio, Julia suggested that I would get benefit from massage which would help to stretch and relax the muscles. I was then introduced to Charlotte (Charlie) who is a member of the Rehab4u Team. Since then I have had regular massage sessions. Due to my stroke it causes extra stresses on my muscles and limb stiffness. The regular massage has proved to be most therapeutic and relaxes all my body. Charlie is very conversant with all muscle and debilitating conditions and is very experienced in exactly where and what pressure to apply. I also find that Charlie is not only aware of one’s physical state but is also in tune with how it affects the mood. I always feel better not only bodily when she leaves, but also more mentally positive. Thank you so much Julia and Charlie.

In September 2013 I suffered a very dense stroke which left me paralysed down the left side of my body. My first thoughts were that I would never walk again and certainly not drive my car or lead anything like a normal life. After being discharged from hospital after nine weeks barley able to stand and only walk with a frame, I soon realised that I would need ongoing Physiotherapy If I was to try and resume anything like a normal existence. I contacted Rehab4U having been recommended by a friend. I am now walking with the aid of one walking stick and have increasing mobility in my upper left limb also I have re-taken my driving test and am now back driving my car which has been adapted. Without the dedication and Neuro-Physiotherapy skills plus constant encouragement of Rehab4U I would certainly not be as advanced in my journey toward achieving a normal life. I will be 70 later this year, so you are never too old. There is Life after stroke with Rehab4U.

I suffered a stroke in March 2012. After being discharged from NHS care a friend recommended that I contact Julia as the most suitable person to oversee my rehab. We started working together in July 2012 and I began to see significant improvements almost immediately. She is immensely knowledgeable and up to date with the latest research and recovery methods relating to brain injuries. She helped to restore my self-confidence and I am now back to swimming and walking. I can look forward to a full recovery with Julia’s continuing support. Without hesitation I would recommend Julia to anyone who is striving to recover from a stroke.

Julia has really helped with my rehabilitation to date following a stroke aged 26. She makes sure I understand what I'm doing and the benefits in my sessions and my home exercises. Julia regularly reminds me of tasks I once couldn't do or really struggled with when I'm finding new exercises or tasks a struggle to keep me mentally focused and looking forward. Using goal setting strategies with Julia I can clearly see how far I've come and what i've already achieved which really helps me. Her approach is innovative, always looking at what my body is doing, coming up with ideas on how to bring my rehab along in the way that will get me to where I want to be. I'm very grateful I was recommended Julia and don't think I would be as far with my recovery to date if I hadn't been working with her. Julia is very knowledgable and experienced which gives me the upmost faith in having her work with me in my recovery journey.
